Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own.

Why is everyone so caught up on the lives of others? Following gossip blogs on celebs and constant chatter about their friends personal lives religiously. They strive to get that juicy rumor to fill in their fix for the week.  We all got that one friend who knows everything that is going on with everyone else but can’t even prep their own schedule for the weekend.  I believe the main issue is that some don’t know how to love themselves so they try to lash out on others and stick their noses into the business of others since they can’t get a grip on their own. Understanding and loving oneself can push you miles head in this game of life. Here are some simple ways to love yourself:

Embrace your Mistakes

Understand that your mistakes are only brought to light in attempts to fulfill a goal. They are here for a reason, to learn, grow, and understand, no one else makes those mistakes besides you. Do not blame others just accept them as your own and keep it moving. Be attentive to what you are doing, why you are doing it, how you feel while doing it, and most importantly how has it made others feel. Thinking in this manner is more productive than one may think, it will most defiantly help prevent less wrong turns in the future. Through mistakes you will discover new positive techniques to reach these needs you desire. Give it time do not rush anything be patient with each step that you take. Which takes me to my next point.

Be gentle, be patient

Be patient with your self, this goes for pretty much everything you go through on a day-to-day basis. From your thoughts, values, and wants/needs. Everything will come in due time. What you put in this world is exactly what you will get out of it. Along with that you must be gentle and kind with others. Pay everyone with the same amount of respect do not treat the janitor of the facility any worse than you would the C.E.O on the top floor. You never know who is who and what is what.

Push your interests

Always keep yourself open to try new things go places you have never been, eat things you haven’t eaten before. All the little things count it will open your eyes to how great life truly is and all the things that are in front of you that are just at arms length of a reach. Personally, I never try to silo myself in to one particular interest or field. Why should I? Why should any of us? I do not want to be closed in and just be titled a stylist or a photographer. There are so many things I would love to try that I have not yet reached the opportunity to. But if I remain gentle with others and patient with myself they will come along. Another note that I live by is that, if it scares me I use that fear to my advantage and makes me want to do it even more.

Focus on positivity

This point is pretty straightforward and we have all heard this one before. Spend more time thinking and evaluating the positives of your life is the best thing you can do for yourself. What I tend to do is try to envision of is where I would want to be in 5 – 10 years. Take the necessary steps to get there again this takes patience. But if you can stay positive and envision such things you can bring them to life with positivity. Check out a post I did awhile back on the power of you mind and thoughts.

Trust your gut

Most answers to things in life really come from within; to a certain extent we all believe and know what is good for us in the long run. This is when your gut instinct and your intuition kick in. Learn to trust your gut, this comes goes hand in hand in being able to trust yourself enough to go fourth and make a decision. Based on how you feel and what you believe is right for your situation and no one else’s.

“The quiet voice is your higher self; the loud voice is your ego. Always go with the quieter voice.”

Appreciation

Train your mind to be forever grateful for any opportunities that comes your way. Please and thank you goes along way I can’t stress this enough. It really grinds my gears whenever I give a helping hand for anything to a friend or colleague and in return I can’t even get a thank you. Just to show that there is a form of respect and gratitude for efforts of others do not leave your manners at home.
